  • Alternate

The Alternate tool is where you will create change orders, or list alternate options for your customer. You can add parts to an alternate, and the cost will be displayed on your proposal - without adding into your project cost. You can also build change orders in an alternate, and send them directly to your customer!

  • Bucket

Buckets are the different cost calculators inside in each item's Adjust Part page. There is a material, labor, and subcontractor cost bucket included in each part.

  • BuilderTrend

  • Component

Components are a way of organizing your estimate. This is a great way to organize your estimate by room or phase. You can add parts to a component, and they will be separated out / organized on your proposal!

  • Managers

Managers are the four buttons on the top left side of Clear Estimates. Your managers are "Home", "Customers", "Projects" and "Reports". Managers help manage project specific information - i.e. editing a particular project or report, or finding/opening a project for one of your customers.

  • Miscellaneous Item

We use miscellaneous items for costs or discounts which is calculated AFTER your markup. For example, including sales tax would be calculated after the rest of the project cost is calculated (including markup).

  • Part Library

The Part Library is your list of parts that you can use on your estimates. It allows you to maintain a "database" of parts with your own customizations that you can put into any estimate!

  • PQUD

Shortcut buttons that will insert text for you. They stand for (P) "Provide and Install" (Q) Quantity (U) Unit Type (D) Part's Description

  • Templates

Templates are a pre-built list of parts that you can add to your estimate, and are a great starting point for your project. Templates often have formulas attached, which allow you to quickly determine your project cost.

  • Tools

"Tools" are the top right side buttons in Clear Estimates. Tools include "Parts", "Templates", "Options" and "Update". Tools are for managing account settings (part library, location settings, etc). Tools are not for managing options on a single project.
